Minimally Invasive Surgery in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs)

The special issue topic “Minimally invasive surgery in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs)” is very interesting, open, and inclusive. LMICs are evolving rapidly, but the gap between them and developed countries is still huge. Peace and prosperity require that we share the burden, and collaboration is the key.

This special issue is a joint issue of Mini-invasive Surgery (MIS) and OpenSourceResearch (OSR), aiming to focus on the current situation and development of minimally invasive surgery in LMICs. It sends a message that we are thinking about the other half of the world.

MIS (ISSN 2574-1225) is an international peer-reviewed, golden open access, online journal which is featured by innovative, interactive and enthusiasm. MIS aims to promote the greater exchange and dissemination of ideas, findings, novel techniques, and the utilization of new instruments and materials among experts in this discipline around the world. The journal provides a global platform that deals with all extensive works and research related to all areas of minimally invasive surgery, endoscopy, treatment, and diagnosis. Adhering to the principle of high-quality publishing, MIS is totally free publication for authors since its inception.
